My reaction

My reaction is more to the press after the debate than the debate itself. The debate went somewhat how I thought it would except Biden (yes, Biden) exceeded my expectations. I didn't expect Palin to fall flat. She is a very smart, likeable person. She is a state governor. She does have an impressive past in how she got to where she is. She's not an idiot. That being said, there was absolutely no contest tonight. Whenever you have a debate and one candidate is trying to dumb-it-down so as not to appear too smart and the other has to memorize hollow talking points in order to not look like a deer in headlights, you know who wins. Biden was better on every issue. Palin was folksy in a gimmicky way and sure, there will be people who liked that. But I when it came to issues; tangible issues, she not only proved she does not have the capapbility to be leader of the free world, but Biden proved that he does.
